Emissions reduction targets

In order to continue our progress to achieving Net Zero, we have adopted the following carbon reduction targets.

Carbon Footprint and the baseline is taken from 2021 to 2022 showing an increase of 2000 KgCO2e (2.04tCO2e) in 2023.

For period 2023 – 2024 a reduction has ben achieved showing a decrease of 2.47tCO2e

We project that carbon emissions will decrease over the next 4 years to 14tCO2e by 2028.

Completed Carbon Reduction

Base line year 2021

Since 2023 to 2024 there has been a decrease of 2.47 tCO2e from period 22-23.

Since 2021 to date the tCO2e has reduced slightly (0.43tCO2e), the mitigating factors causing the rise in period 22 to 23 was energy usage of two companies (Athrodax and an engineering company (physically partitioned)) sharing the same building using the same energy source at the time of the reporting period. Energy recording has now been resolved.

The energy meter readings are now separated giving a correct indicator of energy use for Athrodax who achieved 3,821Kw (including water usage) reduction over the annual period from 2023 to 2024.

Rearranging the working environment has realized savings on energy required to heat / light and water usage at the company premises.

Air travel increased significantly and Business road mileage decreased significantly from 2023 as a result of product R&D and potential customer / supplier base increase opportunities from Europe and Far East.

Theses elements have not increased the overall carbon produced by the company but has actually reduced by 2.47tCO2e since the last report.

The company is registered ISO14001 Environmental Management and is currently efficient as it can be environmentally and operationally on site for Heating and Lighting are concerned as the only source is electricity for both. Gas is not used. Water is metered and used responsibly.

The company is considering moving to more suitable premises, which would invite more reduction commensurate with the location chosen.
